Amazingly beautiful place is close to Klaipeda - Curonian Spit (Lithuanian Kur? I? Nerija). It stretches almost 100 km from Klaipeda to Zelenogradsk Kaliningrad region.
Half of this unique sandbar created by the sea, 52 km, belongs to Lithuania. Spit separates the lagoon from the Baltic Sea, reminiscent of a flask or bottle, a narrow part of Klaipeda, and the most extensive in Zelenogradsk. The border between Russia and Lithuania is almost immediately behind the village of Nida.
