Kazantip Festival – Enjoy The Colors of Music and Dance

Kazantip is a festival that takes place every year since 1992 in late July and August on the Western Crimea beaches in Southern Ukraine. It has been 20 years since the festival is running successfully and has been able to catch the attention of thousands of people from all Soviet posts, but lately the festival has gained popularity among the Europeans as well. Today you will meet Germans, Dutch, Swedes, who find the festive quite similar to the famed parties in Ibiza. Fundamentally, the idea of this Kazantip festive is very much similar to Woodstock. The one discrepancy is that the Woodstock’s rock music is swapped with the trance-techno-acid-house electronic melodies that belongs to the 21st century era. Moreover, there are differences when it comes to the concept of music, there is another prominent difference, and it is that Kazantip festive is short of the ideological base distinctive well-known hippie movement. The Kazantip festival unlike the Woodstock happens to be more fun, and often it tends to be careless or gets crazy. As a matter of fact, Kazantip happens to be self-proclaimed as an independent and autonomous Republic. The gala has its own President, council of ministers, government, law enforcement along with the general public of the Kazantip Republic, who are, obviously, the majority. The festive originated as a small group supporting wind-surfers in Crimea. The name was designated as per the name of the Cape, which is located close to to the festival’s venue. With the passage of time, the windsurfing fans transformed themselves into fun music and parties. Ultimately, it is the music that is left in the carnival.

At first, the dance floor in the carnival was located close to the Shelkino village, in an incomplete nuclear reactor building. Kazantip gained utmost popularity in the year 1997, which was the heyday of the rave culture. In the year 2000, the gala was enforced to change its venue and for this reason it moved to the Western Coast of Crimea, settling on a beach of a small resort settlement, Popovka, in other terms – was in the middle of nowhere. And today, party-goers and music lovers worldwide know about Popovka and Kazantip. On the other hand, Kazantip is not just about non-stop partying and music. All those people who are familiar with the rave culture know that it comprise of not just music. As per a website that is completely dedicated to Kazantip, explains that Kazantip festive is not a place when you are looking for a perfect family holiday, but it is a passionate gala, which makes you experience the craziness of the sea, non-stop beach-partying, the pressure of bearing hundreds of kilowatts of lighting and sound equipment, which fills you with love and energy on the beach, it is sleeping under the sky and having wine from the plastic bottles with much more. Kazantip Festival is held every year and attracts thousands of young souls worldwide. This happens to be the time when people can get to listen to and see the world's most renowned DJs, dance non-stop and take pleasure of dance and music in full rhythm.
